We have recently witnessed several occurrences of natural disasters, Internet shortages and ISPs service blockage all around the globe. At Umit Project, we believe we can help the world on this front, and we are bringing this great idea to help the world identify such threats.
Though, we can't help with reconnecting people to the Internet in case of a blackout; we can raise an alarm whenever such natural or deliberate shortages or blockages take place by leveraging a world wide Internet Connectivity Monitor.
Pretty ambitious, uh? And you know what? We already have a working alpha version and we’re near a beta release for selected users.
